Orientation Models

Q: What orientation models will be possible with online orientation software?

A: Orientation options include in-person only, online only (good for online education or international students), or use a hybrid model with an online pre-orientation before the in-person session to enhance the social benefits of face-to-face sessions. Many organizations with an orientation-as-process philosophy have created additional modules for other department needs such as Title IX VAWA/SaVE, Probation, HR, Financial Aid, EHS, etc.

IT involvement

Q: My IT Department is very busy. How much do they need to be involved?

A: Comevo’s solution is perfect for organizations with busy IT Departments. Comevo hosts, maintains and supports the software platform which takes a lot of weight off of an IT Department. IT will need to be involved in the beginning to setup Portal Integration and SIS interface but after that, it’s all on us.

Different levels of user technical knowledge

Q: The users at our organization have a variety of comfort with technology. How easy will it be to use?

A: Very easy. If they can click a link and click a button, they can successfully complete an onboarding module on Launch™ Online Orientation and Training software , access the Advance™ Communication Hub, or complete any of Comevo's other software offerings such as surveys or forms.

Ease of updating

Q: Do I have to know HTML to make edits?

A:  No. With Comevo’s Management Console (CMS), it is easy for anyone to make edits thanks to our intuitive editor panel and software. There is no need to have IT involved to make code changes and no need to email Comevo for the changes. You can do it all, we’ll teach you how and support you if you get stuck.

Assessments

Q: How do I know the users are understanding the information?

A: Comevo provides interactive section quizzes and a comprehensive final test with defined pass/fail cut scores. In the event of a fail, users are shown the correct answers along with detailed explanations, granting them the opportunity to revisit and retake the test until success is achieved.

Tracking

Q: What kind of reports does Comevo have?

A: Comevo offers a suite of pre-formatted reports, covering a wide range of metrics from completion rates and progress tracking to insights on question responses. These tools are designed to streamline the automatic release of holds, boost completion rates, and evaluate the impact of your department's efforts.

SIS connectivity

Q: Can Comevo connect with my SIS (Ellucian, Banner, Datatel, Peoplesoft, Jenzabar, etc.)?

A: Yes. With your IT Department’s help, Comevo can interface with your SIS. Technical documentation is available upon request.

Startup time

Q: How long does it take to get setup?

A: Once the contract is signed, Comevo will set the stage for you to begin uploading your content within approximately 2 to 4 weeks, a timeline that greatly hinges on how quickly you can respond and engage with us.
